How to get to Explorium

Explorium is located off Blackglen Road (opposite of Lamb Doyles) against the beautiful Dublin Mountains, with breath-taking views of Dublin City.

BY CAR: Start your magical journey into Explorium! We are just off Exit 13 on the M50 in South Dublin and easily accessed from most parts of the  country. Explorium has lots of parking for all our visitors.

Directions to Explorium from M50 North

At Junction (exit) 13, Take the R826 exit to Sandyford/Dundrum.

At the Roundabout, take the 1st exist onto Brehon Field Rd/R133

Turn left onto Grange Rd/R822(signs for Ticknock)

Turn left onto Harold’s Grange Rd/R113 continue to follow R113

After passing above the M50 look for the second left.

Turn Left, then Right (now you’re in the Explorium car park).

 

Directions to Explorium from M50 south

At junction 13, Use the left lane to take the R113 exit to Sandyford/Dundrum

Slight left toward Kilgobbin Rd

Turn right onto Leopardstown Rd/R113 continue to follow R113

After Passing Lamb Doyles Turn Right.

Turn Right again (now you’re in the Explorium car park)

 

Directions to Explorium from Dublin City Centre 

Head south on Aungier St/R114 toward Peter Row continue to follow R114

Slight right onto Harcourt St/R114/R811

Turn left onto Charlemont St

Continue onto Ranelagh Rd/R117

Turn right onto Milltown Rd/R117

Turn left onto Dundrum Rd/R117 continue to follow R117

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Wyckham Way/R117

Turn right onto Sandyford Rd/R117 continue to follow R117

Turn right onto Blackglen Rd/R113 (intersection where you can see Gala Express in front on your right) (first 4 street intersection after passing above the M50)

After Passing Lamb Doyles, turn Right.

Turn Right again (now you’re in the Explorium carpark)

 

Public Transport via city centre:

Take the Luas to either Dundrum Luas or Sandyford Luas & then take either bus stated below. Please note, we recommend taking the 114 for as you will have more arrival/departure options.

BY BUS : Take the 114 (from the Sandyford Luas stop) or 44B (from the Dundrum Luas stop).
